On Saturday 27 September, DC Year 5 and 6 girls entered the ESF schools 6 a side football tournament. A squad of 8 players rotated on and off the pitches during the games. We were in Group A seeded against Shatin Junior School, Peak School and Kennedy School and won the group convincingly with an attacking display which saw us score 15 goals and let in 2 during three games. We then played Quarry Bay School in the semi final, winning that 2 nil to put us in the final against Clearwater Bay School. Unfortunately we couldn’t maintain the winning momentum and lost 2-0. Thank you to the girls who played with spirit, determination and showed excellent sportsmanship under very taxing conditions. Also thank you to the parents who showed up and supported us all the way to the final. We are definitely looking forwards to the next one.
