Year 13 Farewell

Posted: April 24, 2015

This Friday was the last day of formal classes for our Y13 students.  At a special assembly, the Y13 students farewelled the rest of the school with music, singing and dancing. The Y12 students then took over and presented the Y13s with a farewell video of well-wishes from classmates and teachers. The Y13 students now begin their study leave in preparation for the IB Diploma exams later in May.

There have already been many impressive university offers from around the world for these students, including Emily Carr University, Waterloo, Western Ontario, Simon Fraser, and University of Toronto in Canada; University of Cambridge, Durham, UCL, University of Creative Arts (UCA), University of Kent, Royal Holloway, University of Manchester, Keele, Liverpool, Leed’s, Warwick, University of Bath, Falmouth University, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Kings College in the UK; New York University (NYU), University of Massachusetts Amherst, Michigan State University, Hamilton College, Washington University in Seattle, Parsons School of Design, Columbia College of Art and Design, University of Hawaii Manoa, Hampshire College Syracuse, and University of California Santa Barbara in the United States;  Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan; and HKU, HKUST and SCAD in Hong Kong.

We are very proud of what our Y13s have contributed to Discovery College and all they have achieved here. We wish them well in their preparation for their exams.
