DC Cobra Swim Teams dominate PBs at the ISSFHK Champs

Posted: November 20, 2015

Congratulations Cobra Swim Squad. On 13 November, 40 DC swimmers proudly represented our school in the 2015 ISSFHK Swimming Championships. There were 17 schools who attended and DC participated in every single age division.

This was by far one of the best years with amazing results, thanks to everyone’s hard work and commitment. The girls placed 9th and the boys placed 11th. But the combined score placed Discovery College at 11th, which is an improvement of 6 places higher from last year. This is an impressive outcome.

Five medals were won by three individual swimmers, from both Senior and Junior teams. There were also 22 events that placed top 8, which was achieved by 14 individual swimmers and 11 relay teams. This helped us with our team results, as points were only awarded to the top 8 swimmers. Almost everyone set a new Personal Best time, with 52 individual PBs and 6 relay team PBs recorded. The junior team totalled 39 PBs. Interestingly many swimmers set their PBs during their relay.

Once again, thank you to all the swimmers who participated in this thrilling event, we couldn’t have done it without all your hard work!
