Teamwork shown at Y4 inter-school sports event hosted at DC

Posted: November 20, 2015

Each year, the DCPTA applies for a government grant to use toward an inter-school sporting event. This has traditionally been an athletics day held at Kwai Chung Sports Ground. In April 2015 the format of this event changed to focus more on tabloid sports activities encouraging participation in fun games and activities.

This year the decision was made to move the event to Discovery College to make use of the fantastic facilities we have at the Discovery Foreshore, newly laid LG/F playground and Siena Park.

On Monday 16 November, the Year 4 students from Discovery Bay International School and Renaissance College came to compete along with the DC Year 4 students in games such as human foosball, gauntlet, fly, angry birds, sack races, egg & spoon races, ball races, and pigs & farmers.

The weather was amazing which added to the great community atmosphere on the day.

Overall results for the day were:

  • DBIS – 158
  • DC – 143
  • RCHK – 117

Congratulations to all teams for the spirit in which they performed in each activity and thank you to those parents who came and supported this event.
