Y11 MYP Personal Project Exhibition

Posted: April 28, 2017

The DC community is cordially invited to the Y11 MYP Personal Project exhibition, on 4 May from 6pm to 8pm in the DC theatre. All Y10 and Y11 parents are especially welcome.

The Y11 students are proud to present their personal projects, and invite you to come and see their work exhibited; their product and evidence of their process as they undertook this challenging project over eight months of their learning in Y11 at Discovery College. You are encouraged to tour the theatre to speak with all the students about what their goal was, what they learned, how they became a better learner and what they might have done differently with hindsight.

Families and friends of Y11 students are invited to launch the evening with a presentation starting at 6.00pm in the Whitebox Theatre on the lower ground floor, led by the Personal Project coordinator, Danielle Veilleux and the MYP coordinator, Adrian Gan. After this you are very welcome in the theatre to see all the projects on display.

Y10 students and their parents are invited to start their evening with an hour in the theatre, visiting the booths of each Y11 student and their projects, and gain some inspiration for your own personal projects to come.

For parents of Y10 students, a half-hour introduction presentation in the Whitebox Theatre starting at 7pm will explain the Personal Project process for you. A more detailed information presentation will run on 7 June.
