U12 Girls vs Harrow
The girls played against Harrow and lost 3-2. Harrow started off very strong, with good techniques, and scored 3 goals. DC then fought back and scored 2. The Cobras always stood strong and put up a fight, regardless of how tired they felt. They had many opportunities to score, but Harrow’s goalie was hard to beat. At current standings, the girls have one match left, which could decide if they get into the playoffs or not. Regardless of where they might end up, the most important thing is that everybody had fun and tried their best. Women of the match: Rosie for her goal and Zoe for a great save.

U12A Boys vs Harrow
The A team turned up to play Harrow, but unfortunately only had 6 players so they had to borrow one of Harrow’s reserves. Despite having no subs and playing in very hot conditions the team did extremely well and were unlucky to lose 4-2 with Harrow scoring with the last kick. The team created a lot of good chances and just needed to be a bit more clinical in their finishing. Man of the match was Tomoya who was full of energy and creativity.

U12B Boys vs Harrow
Tuesday afternoon saw the B team cruise to another victory, this time a 3-0 away win over the fancied Harrow team. Despite being overawed by the palatial surroundings, the DC team got off to a flying start and scored all their goals in the first 15 minutes. Dutch wonder winger, Sora van de Wiel, scored a brace adding further gloss to what has been an impressive debut season. The ever reliable James Thompson scored the third, a typical poacher’s goal, showing a quickness of thought to snaffle a tap in from a metre out before anyone else could react. The team finished the regular season on a high note and now eagerly await results from elsewhere to discover if they will be going through to the playoffs as one of the top two in the division.
