DC students participate in ESF Bioblitz

Posted: June 8, 2017

Y11 and Y12 DC students joined students from Island School and KGV in Mui Wo on Wednesday 7 June to participate in ESF’s first ever BioBlitz. The students visited a marsh and seashore ecosystems to collect data on the biodiversity of the area. The data will be collated by scientists in an attempt to map the biodiversity on Lantau and Hong Kong. The intent is that the DC students will return to DC with the expertise to begin mapping the biodiversity around Discovery Bay. This information will then be shared with the scientific community, as they attempt to map the biodiversity in Hong Kong and Lantau.
