Learning a musical instrument has so many benefits to a student’s development, but most importantly it is a fun and social experience that we can all enjoy. We are very excited to announce that our peripatetic music programme will resume on Monday 11 September.
DC offers quality instrument lessons from highly experienced peripatetic music tutors conveniently located in our school’s music rooms. Our tutors are not only highly experienced tutors but also professional musicians in Hong Kong. They are outside providers who conduct private lessons independent of curriculum classes. Our tutors offer lessons on range of instruments including woodwind, brass, strings, guitar, piano, voice and drum kit. Please note: There will be an opportunity to meet many of the tutors and discuss the programme at our annual Parent Information Fair on the 31 August 2017.
Lessons are broken into 30 minute or 1 hour lessons at the following rates for Term 1.
12 x 30 minute individual lessons – $4,080
12 x 30 minute pair lessons – electric/acoustic guitar only $$2,580
12 x 1 hour individual lessons – $8,160
To promote the instruction of brass, strings and selected woodwind instruments, Discovery College hires these specific instruments free of charge to students who participate in the peripatetic music programme. Applications to hire these instruments will be based on the order applications submitted to the College Reception and the suitability of instruments to students.
