Peripatetic Music Programme now enrolling

Posted: March 16, 2018

Learning a musical instrument has so many benefits to a student’s development, but most importantly it is a fun and social experience that we can all enjoy. Our Term 3 peripatetic music programme will commence on Monday 23 April 2018, except for Steve Gardner’s Tuesday lessons which will start on Tuesday 17 April 2018.

Discovery College offers quality instrument lessons from highly experienced peripatetic music tutors conveniently located in our school’s music rooms. Our tutors are not only highly experienced tutors but also professional musicians in Hong Kong. They are outside providers who conduct private lessons independent of curriculum classes. Our tutors offer lessons on range of instruments including woodwind, brass, strings, guitar, piano, voice and drum kit.

Lessons are divided into 30 minute or 1 hour sessions at the following rates for Term 3.

8 x 30 minute individual – $2,720
8 x 30 minute pair – electric/acoustic guitar only – $1,720
8 x 1 hour individual – $5,440

To promote the instruction of brass, strings and selected woodwind instruments, Discovery College hires these specific instruments free of charge to students who participate in the peripatetic music programme. Applications to hire these instruments will be based on the order applications submitted to the College Reception and the suitability of instruments to students.
