It was wonderful this week to welcome back all of our DC students, both old and new, to the start of the 2018-19 academic year. We are looking forward to a great year of learning and events. All parents should have received a hard copy of their Parent & Student Handbook, which lists a number of important dates across the year. You will also have received the programme for this year’s Parent Information Fair, to be held from 4-7.30pm on Thursday 30 August. This is an important time to meet your child’s teachers and find out what the year has in store. We ask all parents to please attend this event.
As we start this year we are delighted to also acknowledge the success of last year’s graduates, who yet again raised the bar with their outstanding IB Diploma results. We could not have been prouder of their achievements and of the wonderful work that their teachers did in helping them do so well. Last week we celebrated with 14 of our highest achieving students at the ESF Chairman’s Awards, held at Sha Tin College. A special congratulations to these students, namely Jeremy Leung, Kazuya Kai-Olowu, Rachel Telford, Chloe Sercombe, Yangyang Xiao, Julia Klocek, Jennifer Allardice, Yan Yau Cheng, Cherie Ho, Tamara Kristensen, Jocelyn Tang, Dhirij Tourani, Jessie Tsang and Taichi Kho. Unfortunately Chris Kwok and Soovin Lee were unable to attend.
