On Friday 30 November, Sunshine Action Club will be hosting their very first Sunshine Action event here in DC. Sunshine Action is a NGO who provides help to many within HK and across the world to developing countries. In this event, we will be packing food together for distribution to the elderly across Lantau Island in the following week. The aim of this event is for those around DB to cooperate with one another to pack at least 1,000 food bags to give to those who are in need of help. For this event to take place, it is essential that more people could donate food to school. Apologies for the late notice, but it would be great if people could bring any canned food, cooking oil, tea bags and some biscuits and put them in the Sunshine Action donation box that will be available to put food in starting from next week Monday 26 November 2018. There will be some examples of food that are needed on top of the donation box. We will need at least 1,000 of each food item shown on top of the donation box to surpass our aim of packing 1,000 food bags.
There will be a competition between the Learning Teams, the LT with the most people participating wins a prize. So for those who want a prize after working hard with their team, it must mean that teamwork will come to play and cooperating with each other will be useful. So make sure that as many people in your LT can come to the Food Packaging event organised by Sunshine Action Club in DC.
The Sunshine Action Club have worked very hard in the past few weeks to organise such an event, it would be much appreciated if any student, family members or staff are able to help on Friday 30 November at 3.30pm. We are unsure of the end time, though it should be no later than 7.30pm. Please come to the first ever upcoming Sunshine Action event held in DC.
