Posted: September 25, 2014

The International Schools Assessment will be held for all DC students in Year 4, 6, 8 & 10 in the week of October 6-10. It is held over two ½ days:

  • Day 1 includes – Mathematical Literacy Part 1 and 2 and Writing Task A (155mins for primary and 165mins for secondary including two breaks)
  • Day 2 includes Reading and Writing task B (115mins including 1 break for all grades)

Year 4 & 6 will be held on Monday 6 October and Thursday 9 Oct

Year 8 & 10 will be held on Wednesday 8 October and Thursday 9 Oct

The ISA assessment program is a paper-based assessment designed especially for students in international schools. It is based on the internationally endorsed reading and mathematical literacy frameworks of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).

The results are used to provide additional information on student performance that helps inform the teaching process and to allow DC to benchmark against similar international schools. Parents will received detailed results late in Term 2.
