The Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation’s annual flagship musical, Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, will include DC Year 7 student Kelly Fong in the role of a pickpocket, an orphan and a dancer.
The production includes about 80 students aged from 9 to 25, from 43 local and international schools as well as universities, are now taking part in the musical’s preparation. Two 10-year-old students will be co-acting Oliver Twist.
The 2.5-hour musical, performed in English with Chinese subtitles, will be staged from 27 – 29 November 2014 at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. More information is available on the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation website.
