Year 10 Visual Arts students are about to embark on a unit of study in which they explore changes in the urban environment in Hong Kong. As part of this study, for half a day the students are taking part in a heritage tour of the buildings in Wan Chai organised through the House of Stories. Students explore the cultural and historical influences of the built environment in this area. The other half of the day has been spent exploring the buildings in Central, comparing the encroaching iconic modern architecture that sits adjacent to the grand heritage listed buildings. Students have been involved in research, sketching and photography work.
