Year 4 students were away last week on their highly anticipated camp extravaganza. They returned to DC on Friday afternoon with rave reviews about their experience at Ark Eden Organic Farm. At the farm, students had the opportunity to pet a pig, plant a variety of seeds, harvest basil, and make their own pesto pasta (look for their pesto pasta recipe in the next Michelin guide). Other highlights of the trip included a grueling one hour hike to the Silvermine Cave, a riveting beach game led by Ms. Tiatto, amazing archery, and hilarious skits led by Mr. Burrows. Going by the chatter on the playground, a fantastic time was had by all.
