Galaxy 5 have been visited by three experts in the past week, all of whom have challenged our thinking as we come towards the end of our ‘Trade’ unit.
Firstly, Mr. Peter Muir, CAS/Community Engagement Coordinator, came in to talk about the impact of consumerism on humankind and the world.
Secondly Mr. Bruce Taylor, Humanities Teacher, who is well-known at DC for being a passionate advocate for human rights, came in to talk about what it means to be a responsible consumer.
Mrs Sercombe, Teacher Librarian, has also visited all three classes to look at real life issues in the media which show the cause and effect relationship in action.
