On Friday, our whole College came together for the Lunar New Year Fun Fair. In this event all classes from Years 4-12 designed and ran activities for other students around the theme “A thankful heart” relating to regional and Lunar New Year traditions. In addition Year 11 and 12 students guided our Year 1-3 students around the activities giving a real sense of connection between juniors and seniors. It was a great way for all of us to show our appreciation and to be appreciated. This event was framed by the Chinese New Year Flea market where students used their language skills to sell, buy and bargain in Chinese, and the Lunar New year singing performance by the winners of the Chinese Singing Competition.
Best wishes for the Year of the Sheep from all of the DC community.
