Students excel in Mathematics contests

Posted: February 6, 2015

Congratulations to all the students who recently sat the gruelling Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics contests. This two-hour long event was created by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing, University of Waterloo. The results for the students pictured were very impressive. Certificates of Distinction were awarded to Ryan Leung in Year 12 as well as Yan Yau Cheng in Y10 (Yan Yau chose to sit the Senior Competition, instead of the Intermediate Competition that he was eligible for). Medals for the best in the school were awarded to Thomas Lau (Y13), Ryan Leung (Y12), Yan Yau Cheng (Y11) and Soovin Lee (Y10).

The Pascal, Cayley and Fermat Competitions (also by University of Waterloo and designed for students in Y10, 11 and 12) will take place 25 February. The sign-up for this event has already closed. Good luck to the students participating.
