Year 4 students research alternative energy sources

Posted: February 27, 2015

As part of their unit of inquiry on “How The World Works”, Y4 students have recently completed their energy presentations. The students confidently presented to their friends and teachers about the benefits of renewable energy sources. After inquiring into the impact fossil fuels have on the environment and learning about how electrical circuits work, the children were challenged to find out about alternative energy sources.

Children honed their skills in viewing and presenting, to share their expert knowledge of how electricity can be generated through wind, solar, hydro-electric, tidal, bio-mass and nuclear power. An excited audience was treated to a variety of presentations through posters, keynotes and fantastic models built by the students.
