Students compete in SEAMC

Posted: March 13, 2015

Recently, six DC students took part in the 15th annual South and East Asian Mathematics Competition. This year 41 schools took part in SEAMC, and the standard was superb. Our students (Vanessa Yu, Alex Franklin, Yan Yau Cheng, Soovin Lee, Meghna Srivastava, and Jerry Lin) trained for months before the competition, and were repaid with DC’s highest ever result in the competition. Both teams did well, particularly the boys, who came 9th overall, and 1st in the Long Answers round. Special mention should go to Yan Yau, who undertook the bulk of the responsibility for the training of the team. All of the team members performed really well, and the standard has been set high for next year’s DC team.
