Our annual celebration of Book Week will take place from 20-24 April.
Some events that are planned include a Scavenger Hunt, a Bilingual Reading Bazaar, a Book Cover Treasure Hunt /Guess Who Competition and last but not least the famous Character Parade. The Parade will take place on Friday 24 April at 8.40am, so plan your character costume this week. Parents are most welcome to come and watch the parade that will take place in the entry courtyard.
We will also be launching our student support of The Library Project where we will be raising money in the whole of Term 3 to support a new library room being built at a selected school in Hebei, China. Last year our efforts were very successful and we funded the building of a new library in Guandong Province.
To help us have a successful Bilingual Reading Bazaar we are also looking for some parents to volunteer reading in several different languages to our Primary students. If you have done this before we welcome you back, and if this interests you please contact leanne.sercombe@dc.edu.hk or pop into the Library to volunteer. The Bilingual Reading Bazaar will take place on Thursday 23 April at 1.00pm in the Library and will last approximately 30-40 minutes.
Thank you to the Year 5 media team who designed the posters and banner for Book Week this year.
