One of the most anticipated events on the Y1 calendar is the Pizza Party. It was a chance for the students to celebrate the year that they have had together as well as taking part in a range of activities that allowed them to explore their creative side. They made tunnels and obstacle courses with balance beams, hoops and climbing frames. The construction of castles, rockets and bridges using boxes and making materials provided opportunities for both challenge and cooperation. Dressing up as story book characters, acting out stories and using musical instruments to create musical items also gave the children scope for enthusiastic and creative play.
The party concluded with a shared pizza meal in the cafeteria. A special thank you to the parents and helpers that joined in with the fun and helped with supervising the activities.
