On 27-29 May, all Year 11 students will be sitting a range of exam-style assessments. The rationale for having a Y11 examination session is based on the feedback we’ve received from current and former Diploma students. When surveyed on how the school could best prepare them for the Diploma, amongst their most compelling responses was to have a DP-style examination experience in the latter years of the MYP.
Y11 students can expect to sit 2-3 timed assessments in each day of the session. Students and their parents must note that these exams do not exclusively determine a student’s final Semester 2. Final Semester 2 grades will be based on all of the assessments a student has completed in Semester 2.
Y11 students in preparation for their exam session will have the option to remain at home on Tuesday 26 May. School will be open as normal and study spaces will be provided for them, if they so wish. Normal classes are suspended for the day.
