Congratulations to the Y5 swim team who represented DC in their first inter-school swim meet last Tuesday. The swim meet was hosted by DC and had six other schools attend: Kellett, Kennedy, Bradbury, Renaissance, Shatin Junior and DBIS.
DC was 5th overall, with the Girls team coming 4th:
Ruby, Asha, Tara, Megan, Jessica H, Jessica I, Isabelle, Hailey, Akaisha, Madison, Savanna, Yasmine
And the Boys team finishing 6th:
Max, Joon, Horace, Mitchell, James, Aryan, Tomasso, Tyson and Brayden.
Thank you to DC Cobra Swim Team members, Luc Gemassmer, Jenny Anderson, Sophie Meldrum, Arshia Dhawan, and Ellen Gasser, who helped out as as officials. It was great to see them mentoring the DC team, sharing some first-hand advice and race tips with our Y5 swimmers.
A huge thank you to the Y5 mums and dads who volunteered as timekeepers and marshals, not to mention being a wonderfully supportive cheer squad. Even when it was thundering, we could hear you! Lastly, a big thank you to Amanda Walsh and Kylie Wilson for organising and running the event. Stay tuned for news from the Y6 swim meet on 9 June.
