As a reminder as we start the new year, the email system used to send the College newsletter, The Explorer, as well as most College-wide notices, will automatically send to the email address listed in Gateway for both parents. Please ensure your contact details are correct if you have not already done so.
There are some options for you to adjust your communication preferences or unsubscribe from these email notices, however, please read carefully below before doing so, so that you understand how to stay informed about items relevant to your child’s education.
If you wish to opt out of the weekly Explorer emails only, please do not click unsubscribe. Instead, click ‘update your subscription preferences’ at the bottom of any of the emails you receive. This allows you to then opt out of the Explorer only, but remain on the list for other College emails, which may include emergency weather arrangements, year-level notices to parents, trip/camp updates, and College-wide notices. Please note that if you choose not to receive the Explorer emails, it is your responsibility to visit the Explorer online to read the latest news and announcements.
You do also have the option to unsubscribe from all DC emails. This means that you will not receive school notices by email, which may include the above mentioned urgent notices, trip/camp updates, schedule changes or reminders, parent conference notifications, or College-wide emails. We urge you not to unsubscribe so that you are informed about the what is happening at the College relevant to your child’s education. Please note that if you click the unsubscribe link, you will immediately be unsubscribed. If you choose not to receive DC emails, it is your responsibility to visit the College website and the Explorer to receive current information, however, not all notices are listed on the College website.
