DC’s Interact Club inaugurated

Posted: September 11, 2015

DC’s Interact Club was formally inaugurated this week. President of the Rotary club of HK South, Micheal Wan (pictured), and District Assistant Governor Martin Roeth were present at the inauguration. Interact is the student-led branch of Rotary, for those of 12 to 18 years of age who want to join in and tackle issues in their local communities and on a international basis. Each year incorporates several events and service opportunities across HK, with emphasis on two main projects, one local, and one global which can promote international understanding. Interact, and Rotary, like to stress their dislike for voluntourism and encourage sustainable humanitarian services that have a impact. Joining Rotary is a opportunity to connect with community leaders, develop leadership skills, as well as providing a platform for CAS.
