Discovery Culture Festival 2015, 2–9 December, is a celebration of art, culture and literature that features engaging and enriching workshops, shows, exhibitions and more for our students, DC families and the wider community.
This year the College’s annual Book Week, organised by the Library staff, is combining with the Discovery Culture Festival to add literary life to this wonderful event. Literary activities will include talks by authors Nury Vittachi and Sarah Brennan, book quizzes and scavenger hunts, ‘Guess Who’s Behind the Book’ competitions, and more.
Parents, do come in to school and be part of the Festival. Watch the ‘Carnival Parade’, where students and teachers dress as their favourite artist, musician, literary or dramatic character, or in a costume representing their home country. See students’ artistic talents shine in events including the ‘Christmas Cadavers’ murder mystery by Year 12 students, ‘buskers corner’, flash mobs, drum circles and, on 8 December, the College’s Ensemble Evening. View the beautiful Primary Peace Tree, No Boundaries Bamboo Grove and Masarang photographic exhibition.
Thank you to all the staff, parents and students who have helped to organise the Festival and thank you to the parents and businesses who have contributed as Festival patrons and sponsors.
