Wesley College performers visit DC

Posted: November 6, 2015

On Thursday, students in Years 3, 5 and 6 were treated by some exceptional theatre performances from Wesley College from the Glen Waverley Campus in Melbourne Australia.  Wesley College embarks on an international tour every two years, and Discovery College is privileged to be able to host. This year they performed two plays, Aesop and his Fables and The King Of New York, which was written by David Dunn, Head of Theatre at Wesley College, using mixed factual accounts from 1850s New York in an adventure story.  Both performances were received with great enthusiasm and excitement with some very in depth questions  from both Y5 and 6.

The DC students also welcomed our visitors, as is their way, with a game of soccer using a tennis ball. Great fun! An unexpected highlight was when Arabella Leong, a past student of Wesley and current Y3 student at DC, bumped into her buddy from her previous school.

On behalf of Discovery College, thank you Wesley College for your visit, and we hope to see you again soon.
