DC explores Neuroplasticity

Posted: April 22, 2016

Over the past five days, all students have been exploring the beliefs they hold about intelligence and abilities.  This is an important starting point in recognising the barriers that are often put up in regards to new learning.

This coming week, students will learn about neuroplasticity – the science of what happens in our brains when we learn. Research shows that teaching students about neuroplasticity (how their brains ‘grow’) increases their perseverance and improves their approach to learning. Students will learn that, with effort and perseverance, everyone is capable of learning and becoming more intelligent.
