DC Student in the thick of it at the Hong Kong Rugby 10’s

Posted: April 15, 2016

Brayden Hudson, Year 6, was asked to referee the U12 Island / Peninsula Exhibition rugby game at the GFI HKFC Rugby 10s, which is a 10 a side rugby tournament with players from around the world. This tournament is played in the two days prior to the HK Rugby Sevens.

Brayden took to the field in front of 1000 plus spectators, and refereed a full pitch, Under 12, 15 a side exhibition game. He felt very nervous walking out on to the pitch and about halfway through, Brayden said he felt fine and did not get bothered by the crowd anymore. He did a great job and hopefully inspired other young adults to take up his passion of refereeing.
