Today the Primary Sports Day was held for the Y4-6 students. We managed to get through all activities on what was a tricky day from a weather perspective. The students had a wonderful time, engaging in a wide range of activities and participating for their House team.
During the morning we had a number of large downpours, where all students were taken undercover and out of the rain. This did result in students, staff and over 100 parents getting a little wet, however, also added to the excitement of the day. The students did a fantastic job managing the ins and outs and didn’t let the weather dampen their spirits.
I would like to thank the parents who attended to support their children along with the staff who organised and ran the day.
On a disappointing note, the Y1-3 Sports Day in the afternoon had to be cancelled due to the inclement weather and a thunderstorm warning. We appreciate we will have 360 disappointed students, however, this was unavoidable.
