Tuesday 31 May saw 8 schools attend the Discovery College Y6 Swim Meet, hosted at DC. Schools in attendance were Bradbury, Kennedy, DBIS, Lycee Francais, Nord Anglia IS, German Swiss IS, Sha Tin Junior and DC.
The DC Cobras team was hit with illness so the 12 swimmers who represented our team had to fight hard to earn points. In the process, every swimmer managed Personal Bests in their various events. However, it was in vain as the GSIS team speed to the lead on the points table, eventually taking out the Team Champions trophy. With no silverware retained for DC, the challenge has been laid for next year’s team.
It was a hot day under the roof but the swimmers all performed exceptionally well. Huge thanks to the following people who volunteered their time to support this event; members of the DC Junior and Senior Cobras Swim team, parents of our Y6 swimmers, ESF Swim Instructors and Kylie and Amanda of Kyama Swim School (also our Cobras Swim Team coaches).
