Many of you will have seen the IB Diploma results for our recently graduated Class of 2016. These students did exceptionally well, with an average score of 35.2 points (out of a maximum of 45), which compares most favourably with the worldwide average of 30.1 points. This year’s results are a further improvement on 2014 (31.9 points) and 2015 (33.9 points).
When DC was opened we committed to being a school for our community where every student, with hard work and supported by exceptional teachers, would be successful. This year we celebrate the fact that 96% of the 75 students who sat the Diploma were successful and that 16 students (21%) scored 40 points or more. Of special mention is Ariel Galor, who is the first DC student to score a perfect 45 points, a remarkable achievement when you consider that only 148 students achieved this out of 70,000 students worldwide.
