Posted: March 3, 2017

We are very excited to have 6 universities from Scotland visit us next Thursday 9 March from 3.30pm-4.30pm in the Dance Studio on the LG Floor.

MINI SCOTLAND UNIVERSITY FAIR – Thursday 9 March, 3.30pm-4.30pm

Scotland has some of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world.  Three of its universities are over 500 years old and four are in the QS World Rankings top 200. At the same time they are among the most modern and dynamic in their teaching and research.   Scottish universities visiting Hong Kong in March include universities at the cutting edge of research on gravitational waves as well developing the latest in computer gaming.

The structure of undergraduate degrees in Scotland is a bit different from both England and the USA.  Some advantages of this and studying in Scotland are:

Flexible four-year degree structure – allows for study of a broader curriculum as well as making it easier to change major in second or sometimes third year

Advanced entry – second year entry possible for IB students, often in degrees in science and engineering

Truly international student experience – Scottish universities attract a large number of European students as well as international students

Distinctive local history and culture but no obligation to drink whisky or eat haggis!  Scottish universities have outstanding sports facilities. And its cities and towns thriving cultural and music scenes

Choice of locations – from vibrant cities like Glasgow to picturesque university towns like St Andrews

Stunning scenery – beautiful natural landscapes of the Scottish countryside and Highlands and Island are within easy reach for relaxation, skiing, climbing or other outdoor pursuits

Europe and the rest of the UK are within easy reach – lots of cheap flights and connections from Scotland to elsewhere in the UK and Europe

Students are strongly encouraged to attend this valuable event and parents warmly welcome.
