Funds raised (HK$37,290) during last spring’s Library Project have been used to provide Shuijing Elementary School and Sanbu Elementary School in Huai Ji County, Guangdong Province, China, with their own library. The fundraising campaign was launched by the DC Library in conjunction with The Library Project, and consisted of a reading challenge within the school community with the goal of improving children’s literacy and providing teacher’s resources to primary schools.
