It has been a busy and productive 2 weeks for the music department since returning form our end of term break. On the 11 January we hosted the Young Performers Evening, which was an amazing display of young talent and enthusiasm for music. The programme ranged from solo performances on the piano and drum kit to a rock band playing original music. It is great to see passion for music is alive and well and in fact thriving in the primary school.
On the 17 January, audiences were treated to an unforgettable night of music. The focus and energy back stage before the show was balanced well with enthusiasm, excitement and encouragement for each other. It was a truly sensational concert with so many highly expressive and enjoyable performances by our secondary students. It is however a sad moment for the music department also as this was the last Annual Concert performance by our Year 13s who have contributed so much to the music culture here at DC over the years. We wish Gigi Ho, Katie Chen, Kayla Munson and Aashmann Vyas all the best for the future and we are certain they will continue to perform and play music. We hope to see you are future music events.
