Last year Discovery College established a Sister School partnership with Kardinia International College in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Kardinia is a Y1-Y13 IB school and both colleges enjoy strong links through past and present staff and students. www.kardinia.vic.edu.au The Sister School agreement is based around the notion of improving both schools through the sharing of pedagogy and best practice.
Next week we will be welcoming 20 Year 9 students along with three teachers from Kardinia here to Discovery College for a week-long exchange. The students will attend Discovery College with their home-stay brothers and sisters, be involved in classes and participate in activities. On Friday the students will have a tour of Hong Kong. Then, at the end of April, a group of Year 9 Students from Discovery College will have a similar visit to Kardinia in Australia.
We hope this is the first of many opportunities for exchanges between the schools.
