Looking Through a Microscope

Posted: March 23, 2018

In Year 11 Science this week, students prepared a wet mount slide with a fresh layer of onion skin. They then looked at the onion cells through a microscope to observe the structure of these cells and to find the nuclei. Students also looked at a prepared slide of an onion root tip, where cellular division rapidly occurs, which allowed students to identify all stages of mitosis.
