Last weekend one of our Year 9 students, Doh Young Jeong, participated in the annual Hong Kong Taekwondo Association (HKTA) National Competition. In previous years, he had occasionally attended similar competitions as a colour belt and received champion trophies. This is his first time competing as a black belt, and he participated in the official junior category competition. Out of more than 30 contestants, he was placed first. “This is one of the moments I will treasure in my first eight years of taekwondo”, he stated. Discovery College hopes this experience encourages further success and we wish him well in this sporting field.
