Students were all smiles on Wednesday night as they proudly led their parents through a range of learning experiences, designed to highlight their learning, goals and achievements. In preparation for this event, students were challenged to think about “why” they were sharing with parents at a Student-Led Conference. This then led students to be able to confidently communicate what they wanted from their parents during their time together, such as, “be an active listener when I am speaking”, “celebrate me and my learning”, “give me positive feedback and maybe sometimes some advice”. Through voice, choice and ownership students from Y1 through to Y6 displayed just what it means to agents of independence and real pride in what they were doing.
