A group of Y8 girls volunteered in the Hand-crafted design workshop, which was held at the Community Center in DB North Plaza on Monday 30 April after school. The group, supervised by DC Social Worker, Kate Tse, decided to share their DIY skills with a group of senior citizens in DB by teaching them how to make a hand-craft art quilling card. Throughout the activity, students learned how to communicate with different people. Despite the language barriers, students and the senior citizens found their way to communicate and know each other more. Students reflected they love the volunteer experience, enjoyed working together as a group and most of all, they were having a fun time together. All of the students and senior citizens would like to have more art sessions together.
