Our second House Activity for the academic year was first up on the morning of Tuesday 29 January 2019. Junior and senior students worked together in a range of House based activities. The activities were designed with the intention to strengthen relationships between young and old, develop our sense of responsibility, caring and community as we Grow. Discover. It was affirming to walk between different groups and see the smiles, connection and engagement of our students as they worked together. The Y1s led the Y12s in a range of play based activities. It certainly seemed at the beginning that the confidence was on the younger faces. At the end one of our Y12s said, “That was so much fun, it was really what we needed right now to help us relax. Those smiling Y1 faces helped us remember what a wonderful place DC is.”
