Visible Wellbeing Workshop #1

This morning approximately 30 parents from across the college came together for our first Visible Wellbeing workshop. This workshop involved exploring the research that underpins Discovery College’s Visible Wellbeing approach, a brief overview of each of the six pathways to wellbeing and unpacking the family wellbeing survey data that was collected earlier this year.

We know from Prof Lea Water’s research that there are six key pathways to develop wellbeing:

  1. Strengths
  2. Emotional Management
  3. Attention and awareness
  4. Relationships
  5. Coping
  6. Habits and goals

Through intentional practice in each of these areas we can strengthen our own wellbeing and the wellbeing of all around us. Over the next 18 months there will be a workshop on each of these pathways with a particular focus on what you, as parents, can do in your home and with your own families to increase your wellbeing.
