Learning a musical instrument has so many benefits to a student’s development, but most importantly it is a fun and social experience that we can all enjoy. Our Term 2 and 3 combined peripatetic music programme enrolment will open on Monday 2 December 2019 at 9am and close on Friday 13 December 2019 at 11.59pm. Timetables will be confirmed on or before Friday 10 January 2020, announced via the Explorer and email. All enrolment is done online by parents through Gateway. Music lessons will run continuously from Term 2 to 3, commencing on Friday 17 January and ending on Friday 12 June 2020. Lessons are divided into 30 minute or 1 hour sessions at the following rates for Term 2 and 3.
17 x 30 minute individual – $5,780
17 x 30 minute pair (ONLY offered for electric/acoustic guitar) – $3,655
17 x 1 hour individual – $11,560
To promote the instruction of brass, strings and selected woodwind instruments, Discovery College hires these specific instruments free of charge to students who participate in the peripatetic music programme. Applications to hire these instruments will be based on the order applications submitted to the College Reception and the suitability of instruments to students.
