Wellbeing Challenge of the week – Strength spotting

Posted: May 8, 2020

This week’s challenge is: Celebrate the strengths of the people around you at this time.

Create an artwork of one A4 page that celebrates the character strengths of the people around you. These artworks will be printed and displayed in the entrance to welcome you back to DC on re-opening.

Upload a scan or photograph of your artwork to this Google form by 4pm Friday 15 May 2020.

Last week’s challenge: Kick start Helper Appreciation Month

As this challenge takes a bit more time to do well, if you would still like to enter this challenge, the submission form will remain open until Monday 11 May 2020.

Your challenge is to find creative ways to express gratitude and appreciation towards all the fabulous people who help make a significant difference in our everyday lives.

  1. Brainstorm a list of ways you would like to thank your helper or someone who helps you – involve as many in your family as possible. (Make a cake, letter of appreciation, cook dinner, do the washing etc). Then do one!
  2. In a video of less than 30 seconds, introduce the person you are showing appreciation for and share a short story of how they make your life better and what you have done to appreciate them.

Students looking for CE and CAS opportunities might start with a kind act and then look at how they can forge an ongoing connection with individuals or organisations to improve the wellbeing of helpers in HK.

We hope you will continue to show ongoing appreciation for those who help you into the future.

Submission location: Please submit your video/photo to this Google Form.
