We were delighted to have 100% of primary classes on-site this past week.
With our return to school, I’d like to ask for your support in reminding your child of general social distancing practices. These include but are not limited to:
- ensuring your mask remains on and covers your nose
- try to keep your hands to yourself in order to keep a distance between you and a friend
- always use hand sanitiser when entering a space for learning
We will continue to remind students daily on campus but having your reminders from home as well can support us tremendously in maintaining the guidelines set for us as a school.
Our current term finishes next Friday 26 March 2021, with lessons finishing for Primary students at 3.15pm.
Term 3 resumes on Monday 12 April 2021 with ALL primary students on-site for half-days in the morning. The current learning arrangements will remain in place unless we are notified by the EDB or CHP that things will change.
We will maintain a six-day cycle as this model is the most flexible if we do end up back online.
The six-day cycle for April and May is here. The calendar here goes from Monday 12 April to Friday 21 May 2021. We will send out the six-day cycle from Monday 24 May to Wednesday 30 June 2021 in mid-May.
Change to the calendar – Student-Led Conferences
We had scheduled for Wednesday 28 April 2021 a day of Student-Led Conferences. Unfortunately, this type of conference is difficult to hold remotely so we are changing the date and format to accommodate Three-Way Conferences without disrupting on-site learning.
The Three-Way Conferences will follow a similar format to what they were at the start of Term 2. They will be held on Tuesday 27 April and Thursday 29 April 2021, 2 to 5pm. Sign-up for the conferences will be forthcoming but I wanted to make you aware of the date and time change.
On Tuesday 27 April and Thursday 29 April, classes will be as normal for students on campus from 8.25am to 12.25pm. Students will then travel home. There will be no Block 6 on either of these days.
It is expected that your child participates in the Three-Way Conferences as they are meant to be made up by the teacher, the child and the parents. As they are being conducted via Zoom, there is no need for all participants to be in the same room. Please look for information regarding sign-up in the coming week.
Thank you again for your continued support.
