As part of the IB MYP programme, all students must complete a course of study in a language other than English. Mandarin is the school’s principle Language Acquisition subject and, in accordance with the emphasis placed on the language of the host country within the IB programmes, we believe it is important to provide a Mandarin Language Acquisition curriculum to our student population. In Secondary, we provide continuity of the Mandarin pathway that has occurred in the Primary School and support the acquisition of this language at all levels. However, in some specific circumstances we enable students to learn Spanish as an alternative Language Acquisition subject.
