On Monday 17 May 2021, The Third Inter-Secondary Schools Golf Competition successfully concluded at the Hong Kong Golf Club. The event included 25 teams across 20 schools, including the top players in Hong Kong Junior golf. The field included the top finishers in the recent Hong Kong Junior Close Championship, as well as the recently crowned Hong Kong Ladies amateur champion. In the Gross Stableford category introduced this year, Discovery College won the school team award, with a total score of 69 stableford points, +3 to par. Our players, Joonho Kim, Denzel Rai, Ryan Leung, and Darren Leung performed immaculately under the warm and testing conditions. The Cobras played with driving passion to deliver strong performances, most notably Joonho and Denzel finishing tied second in the overall standings, and Ryan clinching first place, one shot better than them at +1. Darren posted a solid round of +8, playing to his handicap, further developing his confidence. This event was the first real school tournament played since the COVID-19 outbreak emerged, and the team is proud to have brought home silverware.
