Secondary Update

Timetable Rotation, Uniform and Social Distancing

First of all, I hope that you have had a good week despite what continue to be exceptionally difficult circumstances. Our teachers and wider staff continue to strive to provide the best possible learning experience for all of our students, whilst also having community wellbeing at the forefront of our approach.

Looking ahead, next week we will be onto the next rotation of the Secondary timetable. The aim of this is to ensure that students can access onsite learning for each of their lessons across this term. This means that from Monday the current Block 1 will become Block 2, the current Block 2 will become Block 3 and the current Block 3 will become Block 1.

Students should check their updated timetables on Sunday afternoon and print a new copy if needed.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind students of the DC uniform policy in the Parent and Student Handbook. We are continuing to encourage all students to follow our guidelines.

We also continue to be mindful of upholding the CHP guidelines so that we continue to provide as safe an environment as possible. This includes:

  • Wearing a mask at all times in school and also reminding students they should be wearing masks during their journeys to and from school.
  • Enabling social distancing in school through managed seating arrangements and desk dividers in classrooms.
  • Providing a range of outside spaces for students to have a light snack during a break time.

We continue to review and refine our health and safety procedures in line with CHP/EDB regulations and we thank the whole community for their support in reinforcing the importance of this.
