Learning Advisors play a key role in the life of Secondary students, from both a wellbeing and academic perspective. This includes having 1:1 conversations with each of the students in their Learning Teams where they discuss progress and identify next steps.
As we gain momentum for this academic year, we want to provide an opportunity for parents and students to meet with the Learning Advisors in order to discuss:
- What are my strengths and what am I passionate about in my learning?
- What do I want to improve on?
- What are the next steps I can take?
This discussion will help to ‘set the scene’ for the academic year and Learning Advisors will be able to build on this information with the students throughout the year.
These will be 10 minute Zoom based sessions, and the booking system will open on Tuesday 31 August. During these appointments, our Learning Advisors will take a holistic approach. You will be able to meet subject teachers later in the year when students have made further progress in their learning.
In order to give time for all parents to be able to make an appointment, we need to run the appointments from 2.30 to 6.30pm. This means that Secondary students will finish at 1.30pm on Thursday 9 September and Block 4 will be cancelled.
I hope this information proves useful and further details on how to make your appointment will follow soon via the ESF App.
Best regards
